Toddlers Play Group Program
Toddlers Play Group program is attuned to physical, sensory, language, emotional and social development in a play-centered environment with quiet choices and calming periods to help pace the day.
Two-year-olds have reached turning point for the concepts of independence, self-awareness, creative expression and play. Our educators are well aware that the programs focus should be on the technique and experimentation, rather than the result and outcome.
We offer 2 hours of play time for 3 days or 5 days a week for toddlers.
Our daily schedule includes both teacher-directed and child-initiated activities. Children begin the day by choosing from a variety of floor and table activities.
We visit the gym or playground afterwards for running, jumping, climbing and throwing. Later comes the circle time, which is a series of activities of stories, songs, puppets and small group (creative expression or manipulative) play.
Finally, we have free choice time where children can choose activities from areas of blocks, creative expression, fine motor, dramatic play, sensory, books, and the climber.
